Mariana Papcun Sekeráková is a Project Manager for the Linguistic AI Services team at RWS. She began her journey in localization 10 years ago at the former Moravia IT, now part of RWS. Her career started as a temporary bug-fix engineer on a traditional localization project and gradually progressed to roles such as Linguistic Services Manager and Project Manager. Outside of work, she is a proud mother of one son and an avid gardener who enjoys spending time with plants.
Inside the Session
This session offers my firsthand look at the challenges, failures, and lessons learned in adapting traditional localization to AI-driven workflows.
With no AI background, I learned about LLMs and prompting through trials, errors (and a few mischiefs). In the process, I realized we need to find new ways to change and yet leverage traditional quality evaluation metrics to assess the accuracy of LLM outputs.
This isn’t just my story about missing training, limited tools, and shifting mindsets. It’s a shared journey. But here’s the exciting part, right now we have the chance to build, experiment, and define the future of our industry. Let me share with you how we’re shaping the change.
